Cultural Awareness for your Business or Event

Yalbangarra is an Aboriginal owned and run business facilitating Cultural Awareness training for anyone working, engaging or consulting with Indigenous Australians. The training offers a variety of sessions covering background information, cultural protocols, history, government legislation and forward progression.

High Quality, Integral and Cultural Sound Cultural Considerations

Yalbangarra nurtures a basic level of awareness and understanding of the importance of dealing with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in a culturally appropriate way, which can lead to healing and reconciliation, as well as business success.

Providing training in New South Wales, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory.

The aim of Yalbangarra is to be a leader in the delivery of high quality, integral and culturally sound cultural awareness training.

Yalbangarra imparts thought provoking cultural and historical education, within a safe environment, stimulating healthy conversations around uncomfortable topics of our nation’s past, inspiring participants to challenge their thoughts, their potential bias and or behaviours, to promote positive engagement with Indigenous Australians.

Acknowledgement

Yalbangarra acknowledges the rich and diverse cultures that make up Indigenous Australia. We acknowledge the many Aboriginal nations within this country and acknowledge that each nation has their own identity, language, ceremonies and traditions and whilst similar, they are unique within their own right.

We acknowledge the custodians across Australia who, for generations, have cared for, nurtured, practiced, maintained and sustained Country and culture. We thank them for their knowledge, wisdom, strength and resilience, for it is their shoulders we stand upon.

Australian culture ‘is’ Indigenous culture. Always was, always will be. We’re all custodians now. We each have a responsibility and obligation to care for Country. The Country whom we are borrowing from ‘our’ nation’s children.

Let Yalbangarra take you on a journey

from hurt, to healing, together!

“Yalbangarra gave me the knowledge to improve my confidence when working with my aboriginal co-workers and clientele, and to understand the true history of our country”
